and now my boss is throwing me crazy ideas on how leasing is better than buying and it somehow makes sense to me right now – even though you don’t own it, at one (or the right) point the amount of depreciation is like the same as the amount you spent, and that’s only if you sell the car, if you don’t you’re still down the other x amount of car loan, where leasing = new car
but then you don’t own the car
but then… so what if you don’t own the car
but leasing is like… losing money cause you don’t own the car
but buying a car itself is a lost investment already, it loses value every day, unless you want to keep it for 10 yrs
and then me confooze… this sorta leads me to think that i could still get my mini in a way, esp when i’m probably moving back home next yr

Simple: keep the car for 10 years. Or buy a lease-return, where someone else has already eaten most of the depreciation.
i’ve had my car since end of 2002. it’s almost been 8 years.. actually in a few weeks it will be. wooo!
