The Oval will also house the anti-doping clinics for the Olympics. The Richmond Oval was designed as a community sport center (running track, tennis courts, ice hockey / short track) for after the Olympics. The majority of the cost of building the Oval was covered by the City of Richmond and not by VANOC, so overall this was a very beneficial deal for both parties. Good luck on getting selected.
