Quebec City and Montreal

i havn’t really had time to write about the trip, maybe cause im super tired when i get home, and all i want to do is play disgaea 3 ;p it’s so awesome yay, but ya last week weds me and mah gf went to quebec city and montreal for almost a whole week, and i got back on tuesday morning (and went to work, gg), it was pretty awesome and crazy trip

  • first day we didnt’ make our bus cause stupid construction on hwy, and we ended up spending the night at tim hortons ;/
  • totally recommend the hostel in quebec city – hostel international, and it’s right in middle of old quebec
  • it’s all about sitting outside when you go eat, rue st jean had some pubs (and lots shops), grand allee had lots restaurants
  • beer comes in colors – white red and something
  • too much walking, but what can you do
  • taking a via train is pretty awesome if you can get student ticket
  • totally DON’T recommend the hostel in montreal – auberge de la paris or something, piece of crap – smells, super tiny squeaky bed, no towel, no blanket, super tiny bathroom, no paper towel and air vent in bathroom
  • metro day pass is awesome deal because once you get out of station, you need new ticket to go back (3 day pass is even better)
  • labor day = nothing is open, gg
  • try to speak french, but really, they all know english, and they’ll speak eng to you after you say “bonjour”
  • quebec food makes you (or made me) gassy…

and now i have to decide if i should buy an xbox360 cause it’s only $199 – for a 20 gig PRO model, not the arcade crap, and be the first (that i know) to own ps3, 360, wii, and also lose my anti-360 title

*update – um.. ya i got the xbox 360, gg

  1. you should check wikipedia to see if you’re model of xbox is the newer one with the new falcon mobo. should be since wiki says they started that in sept 2007. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360)

  11. Hi! I found your website by accident this morning, but am really pleased that I did! Not only is it entertaining, but also straightforward to use compared with lots that I’ve viewed! I was attempting to discover what theme you had employed, – anyone have any clue? I’ve utilized a similar overall page layout myself, but discover that your web site loads a lot more swiftly, although you seem to have a great deal additional material. The only issue I’ve had is with the header, which seems less wide that the actual page in Opera v8.0, although it appears OK in IE and in firefox… maybe it’s time to swap! Excellent web site, incredibly tidy job, and a excellent inspiration for my simple attempt! I’ll be looking to improve my own internet site and will certainly visit again soon!

  12. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  13. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
