QC day 3 – boo urn for ghetto stay

oh man Quebec city was so nice and pretty, the hostel was clean and friendly, now we took the train to Montreal, this next hostel feels like piece of crap, and smells funny, and no other girls in the room =( super fail

QC day 1 – 6 hours later

I’m at the hostel in Quebec city, it’s so pretty here, but it took massive work just to get here cause my plan failed, I missed my bus at the centrale station in Montreal last night because my plane arrived 20 min late and then worse, crazy construction all alng the highway from the airport, GG, then we ended up going to tim hortons for dinner by the gay village (I think) for 6 hours til the next bus leave

FAIL

Whatever we are here now, my camera is awesome, my sd card is going to run out memory

the last ride

last night I went out riding with pshen, i think he’s the only person i went riding with (and tony for lunch), with his gs, and now his monster, and i think that’s it for me (riding today and tomorrow for work != fun ride), we went down bridgeport, made left on no.6 road and end up on this other river rd, – liezel told me about this route by the water, saw some crazy ship and dock wreckage, and rode through like 9273493 swarms of bugs, it was nice route, at the same time, eww (we went back to phil’s place and cleaned our visor cause it was so disgusting, he also got like 10 more dead flies on his jacket) and then we somehow ended up beside starlight casino, it’s like a crazy side route

after i come back from montreal/quebec, time to post an ad for the vroom vroom

regulator: the game

Description: some crazy gangsta poker game with uno (should be revised by the inventors – bran / romo / will)

Items required: deck of uno cards, gangsta music (in background), regulator chips (anything to represent a regulator chip – poker chips, Risk pieces, spare change etc.)

Number of people to play: 2 minimum, at least 4 recommended

Card types:

  • number cards – any regular color card with numbers from 0 to 9
  • Regulator cards (Skip) – drops a player out of the round – “regulated”
  • power cards – any other action card other than Skip
    • Change 2 (Draw 2) – change any cards on the flop 2 times
    • Change 4 (Wild Draw 4) – change any cards on the flop 4 times
    • Switcheroo (Reverse) – switch 1 card with any other player
    • Color Change (Wild) – change color of any card

Rules:

  1. dealer deals 5 cards to each player
  2. player chooses 2 cards to play, only number cards can be played, if there’s not enough number cards to be played, player may receive more cards until hand contains 2 number cards
  3. if any player has regulator cards in their hands, they must take them out and display them, when all regulator cards has been shown, players must regulate another player in the order of ROY G BIV, each player can only regulate one other player, even if multiple regulators are displayed; players with same color regulators cannot regulate each other
  4. all remaining players now must show their hand, and dealer will deal the flop (3 cards)
  5. each players may now play all their power cards in order
  6. player with the highest hand wins
  7. player earns the “Regulator” title when 3 regulator chips has been won

Tips:

  • when regulating other players, comment with gangsta talk for bonus fun
  • it’s possible make allies when regulating and playing to prevent someone to become the Regulator, but watch out for people like Dave
  • you don’t have to play all the Power cards in hand, only ones to your advantage, or trix other players
  • Switcheroos are most powerful cards when played at the end, Dealer + switcheroo cards = win
  • as exciting as the game is, players should refrain from commenting other player’s moves

i think we played for 3+ hrs on friday night, and bran won Dual Regulator title followed by Regulators me and romo, while will and dave remained as thugs

apparently saturday was some sort of international zombie walk day? i was getting burned on kits beach in the afternoon and then whole bunch of them paraded through the beach, and then some of them came back after and chilled on the beach

and then yesterday i did the grouse grind with my gf and bran (stupid romo was too tired, we all slept at 4 you know), and we did it in about 1 hr 20 min – 1:22:00.2 / 1:24:37.7, and then we ate benkei ramen, and bran ate like a monster, but he didn’t drink any soup! wth wasted ;/

helmet saves lives

i’ve been kinda missing for the last few days cause on tuesday on the way home i fell off my bicycle (not motorcycle), yep, i was going down on Ontario really fast, and right before 59th i was going to turn right, and i put my right hand out for signal, and i hit a speed bump, and then i was upside down, and then i landed on my head, then my shoulder, and then i sat on the road, i didn’t know where my bike was, i took off my helmet and that was all i could do at that moment

lucky for me, there was a lady and this guy on the street and witnessed my flying stunt (actually a few other people saw while they’re driving, and they also stopped by), and came up to me and see if i was ok, and at that moment i thought i was, other than super dizzyness, but actually i also had cuts on my left hand, and super road rash on my right shoulder, Bob (the guy who lives on that corner) got rubbing alcohol and ice for me, and Methelyn (the lady who’s actually a nurse) cleaned my shoulder up, and while we were chatting, i said i’m a web designer, and apparently she needs one so she gave me her contact hah, talk about meeting people

i somehow managed to ride my bike back to richmond still, my bike seemed to have taken zero damage, and then i went to the hospital – emergency, where i lied on the bed for about 2hrs before a doctor came and did checkup, and then took like 10 xrays to see if there were any neck/shoulder injuries

i hit my head so hard that my helmet cracked, so time to buy a new one, i went to the mall but sportchek didnt’ have any sale ;/ i did end up going home with soul calibur 4 though ;p but ya, i think if i wasn’t wearing it, i would’ve been in an ambulence, gg

also, racquelle surprised me next day morning, she came over in the morning and made me fried rice =)
