diamond parking weapon
i got a parking ticket 2 weekend ago going to eat ramen at kintaro’s (man it’s so good), i parked at safeway as always, which has an hour parking free for safeway customers, except finally this time, when i came back, i got something on my dash, and it’s not adult flyers
“failed to display ticket on dash” – $50, if not paid within 2 weeks, $65, when i got back to my car, some weird lady that was sitting beside the parking ticket dispenser (she was there when i parked already) came up to me and asked if i got a ticket, and then she said, “go dispute the ticket, just say you were at safeway, they can’t prove that you didn’t go, just do it, this parking lot is owned by americans, don’t give them money”, that was kinda random, but anyway so i decided to try to dispute ticket
i emailed them and said, “so ya, i went to safeway and i got a ticket, wth, i just had to go to the bike shop down the street first etc”, and they emailed me back in a few days, surprisingly, and just said, “k well, since you didn’t go safeway first, we just think you left so you got a ticket, so if you have a receipt we can cancel it”, “i don’t have a receipt, i didn’t buy anything, you don’t have to buy anything everytime you go into grocery store, i know i can’t show any evidence, but is there anything else i can do?” “well since you can’t prove it, maybe talk to safeway and see if they do something”, so i was gonna go safeway over the weekend, and i totally forgot (that’s so me), and now i only have 4 days left till the $65 kicks in, so i just ended up calling them today
“hi is this the safeway on robson?” “no, this is the one at english bay… the one on robson got torn down just last week, we’re building a new one” “oooh… k… everything’s gone? parking lot too?” “ya all gone” “… thanks? bye”
after consulting with my coworker, i called diamond parking instead, and basically this was the conversation, “hi i got a parking ticket but i went to safeway so i want to dispute it but i can’t prove that i went” “(some dood) ya no, we can’t do anything about it, you pay” “ya well you told me to go talk to safeway, but now it’s gone, even your parking lot is gone, what else can i do” “… (puts me on another line – without even saying antying)” “hi diamond parking (a chick this time)” “hi i got a parking ticket but i went to safeway (after i went to bike shop) so i want to dispute it but i can’t prove that i went” “ya we call that a walk off, but you can’t prove anything so you pay” “what else can you do” “i can give you a discount so it’s only $30″

This is how they get you. You see, they were really gonna charge you 30 dollars anyways. They know the majority of people are going to dispute the ticket so they make it an atrocious amount like 50-65 bucks, then when u call in they say, how about 30?
but if i didn’t fight diamond weapon, then i would have to pay the stupid $50 anyway

Safeway is not safe store but a dangerous store, this store want to steal your money. safeway looks like a dirty virus. don’t go to the safeway any more. how about helding a buyer’s strike at the every safeway. they look like ignoring their customer. Frankly speaking, I really hate the safeway’s attitude….

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
