life w/o camera

last week, there were thunders at 6:30am, so loud that, it woke me up from my sleep, and i kinda felt like my place was shaking, it sounded like either the koreans bombed us, or gozilla and ultraman are battling it out, and then as i tried to go back to sleep, oh yay, cockroach runs by at the corner of my house, so then i had to battle it out too, but i lost b/c when i went to get my weapon – the broom, it called its ally and surprised attack me, so i ended up sitting on my bed until i have to go to work, totally unrelaxed b/c every sound i head made me turned my head, and then next day, it was time for some serious strategies, i fought back and used this poisonous gas bomb – this can that emits chemical gas or something for like a min, then you stay out of your house for a couple of hours, and either kill or scare them all away, mwahahha, i rather live in poison, than in fear!

i sent in my camera for repair last week too, they said it takes about 2 weeks to get it back, hopefully, so all i got left is my 携帯 camera, at an awesome 1.3mp with no zoom (i never knew that til recently), so since then…

  • (mentionned) went to Hikki concert with no camera, but they don’t let you take pictures at concert anyway, but the Marine Messe was cool and it was by the water
  • (mentionned) went to see Aso Mountain, a real volcano, up close, for the first time i think? but it was super cloudy and windy, but then i saw a super cool view of the city at another place, you can see entire city is surrounded by the mountain
  • SFU has a photo contest for int’l coop ppl, to take cool pics, and i wanna enter b/c you can win $1000 to use on tuition
  • i bike to the beach on the weekend, and the Yahoo Dome, and, the Fukuoka tower, there’s quite a few かわいい girls around, AND there was a Yukata Fashion show on the beach…
  • next week, it’s the 花火大会, fireworks everywhere, and you know what that means? girls wearing yukata EVERYWHERE

I <3 Hikki

yay for hikki concert and my awesome center seat, boo my camera freakin broke (battery is messed or something)

yay for shopping, i like to buy things with 50%+ discounts, boo i still need to buy yukata

yay for ds lite, boo for psp

yay i finaly got rid of the stupid cockroach that wandered around my place for 3 days, boo my bed and room is still a mess and dusty

yay for cool trip to see volcano for first time in kumamoto (i don’t remember seeing one ever before), boo for super wind crappy cloudy weather that gave visibilty 0%

yay for super size tonkatsu meal, boo for super stuffed stomach and hurts riding bike home after super size tonkatsu meal

i heart hikki, the concert was so good, it was about 2 hrs+, she started with passion, ultra blue, moving on without you, travelling, and then bunch of ones in middle, from what i can remember, not in order, first love, can you keep a secret, sakura drops, letters, and slow song style for colors, final distance, darekano negai ga kanau koro, be my last, then some eng songs from Exodus – devil inside, nevermore, you make me want to be a man, then she ended with addicted to you and keep tryin’? and then encore with automatic, hikari, actually i think i got lots of that wrong but whateva, it was uber, and then i bought a towel, photo book, and a poster, and then i ran out of money, literally, wallet empty except $20 cdn

bunch of stuff happened over the weekend, also went to see Yamakasa, one of the biggest festival in fukuoka, it started at 4:59am, so met up with coworkers at 3:30am to go find a spot, and wow, the entire city is out on the street (check flickr for photos), it’s this huge festival only male participate, and they have to carry this super huge wood carriage statue something thing, it takes like 100 people to pick it up, and it’s a race between 6 teams, and each team has a ton of people and so they switch whoever is carrying during the race, and they just run like mad for about 20-30 min, there was sooo many people, it was so freakin hot outside, it’s kinda cool but torture, even yuko ogura was there! but i only saw her back ;/

rest of the stuff takes too long to write it, first of all myt camera battery died or something, so lame ;/ but ya it was a holiday today, i was supposed to go yakiniku all you can eat/drink on friday, but freakin didn’t happen ;/ and so i went to this super tonkatsu restaurant to stuff my face instead, geebus i was going to take on the jumbo size meal challenge, but since it’s first time, i just had large size, and well, it was so good and i finished it all, but jumbo is kinda muri desu, maybe willius or luke who can eat subway or kids in their own height, went shopping and this entertainment center – all you can play for 3 hrs for 1200yen, and there’s bowling, karaoke, darts, internet, basketball, baseball, ping pong, manga, massage chair, arcade, it’s nuts, and also drank a bit on sunday, and then today i went to see a volcano – Aso mountain in Kumamoto and rode a horse too haha, everyone was freezing cause it was… 21 DEGREES, oh nos

things you find here

not going to write much, more of a pic post this time, few days ago i had to clean out my fridge, which isn’t hard because usually every thurs my fridge would be empty, 0 food left, and then friday is my grocery day, so ya, and well, this is why i have to clean it out, or more specifically, defrost

my fridge is so powerful (it’s on medium setting only), that it made so much frost, that my 2 last cans of beer that’s leaning against the wall froze, and then stuck, and then at the end it’s just a work of art inside my fridge, pretty, it took me about an hr to get all that ice off

went biking today to some reservoir and went to have yakiniku today, so far, and so good, apparently i biked out of my fukuoka city, took about an hour plus? i guess it’s something like biking to … new west or metro or something, who knows, so tired and sweaty, and both of my arms are totally burned cause i didn’t put sunscreen, gg, typhoon where are you to block out my sun? but… i finally found it, in an area that just looks like nowhere, it’s self explainatory, larger pics are on my flickr, so the legend is true

except they’re a rip off, some of the dvds are like 5000 – 8000yen, who’d put that much in a stupid vending machine

oh and i went to 3 book off just to find the hikkis cds for brandon, book off is so awesome, they have all these cheap cds (cause they’re used, but i could careless if they in good condition), think i mentionned before but i bought hikki cd for like 350yen ($3.50!), and so today i got first love, but i didn’t find the distance for cheap – not 350 but 750 yen lol, and man, look what else i found, wonder if it’s worth anything

the best drink

since i’ve been living here, i think one of the thing i spent on most is buying liquids – water, oolong cha, green tea, wheat/rice tea, milk tea, red tea, calpis drink, and of course, beer, but today, i had the best of them all

coke!

that’s right, this tiny can of coke, as tall as my cellphone, for 60yen/cents lol, i got sick again this weekend, so lame, i think the air con at my work is so uber, and then i go out and it’s super hot, and then my canadian-cold-weathered body can’t take the extreme changes, anyway, so it sux poo, it’s so hot when you sleep, but it’s also cold cause you’re sick, so ya, didn’t have much appetite over the weekend at all, but today i just had a uber craving for my first coke since i’ve been here, and ooooh yeah, it was orgasmic experience

speaking of sickness, kei’s neo citran came right on time, seems that i was meant to get sick to use it hahah, so i just stay home, playing gw all day, and now, watching mission impossible 2 in japanese, yay, i did go biking today though, added some pics in flickr, i got pretty close to the dome and fukuoka tower, but i just got too tired ;/

btw, if u like dogs (ie. the navarikers ;p), check out this dog cafe thing, you like.. “eat with your dog” or something, ya i know you can’t read, just look at the pic, japanese are dog freaks… pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4
